Why you should choose to learn with Hongng
Mandarin is a tonal language and Hong grew up and studied in Hohhot, a city in Northwest China near Beijing. This means she is a standard Mandarin speaker who can command four tones accurately.
Hong designs each course based on the individual student’s needs, spending time to find out how each student responds to learning Mandarin and tailoring her approach. This means pupils generally see an obvious progression after only two to three lessons.

Hong is a very experienced Chinese language teacher. Hong’s teaching style is dynamic and follows the student’s learning needs. I had no previous Mandarin knowledge, but thanks to Hong’s teaching style I initially learnt the basic tones and moved gradually towards short and basic conversations in Chinese. I used to travel to China for business and thanks to Hong’s valuable assistance and very useful study materials, I have reached the stage where I can understand basics Chinese day-to-day conversations. Additionally, Hong helped me to prepare for The HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) test. I am continuing my tuition with Hong until I reach a fluent conversation level in Mandarin.
